I also registered at SOUNDCLICK under another aka to confuse myself even more... actually my moniker was taken there too, so what's a guy to do eh?

I registerd two bands: the sTOMperz and ZENWAITER wrote a couple of hundred words of bio and uploaded a song under each Artist. I was ready to sell a million mp3 for me and my friends. But how ?

Each of the thousands of band pages features a rich amount of information. A standard interview lets you find the artist' view on mp3 and its impact on the industry, how they made it to where they are now, or what's behind their band name.

Each song is presented in up-to-broadband streaming audio, and most are downloadable as mp3 files (simple registration required). You can also sell your songs on line from your account at Soundclick . I also set up a price per single mp3 downolad at 99cents. I keep 70cents on each download paid to my paypal account.

There are several hundred musical categories that run the gamut from blues, folk, gospel, instrumental, hiphop, rock all styles are represented. Registered are thousands of bands, solo artists and studio nerds all producing their own brand of sound. They run a hit parade of sorts and your competing for the number one spot in your genre. for example the sTOMperz's SnomobileSong reached # 1,798 in Rock (highest position was 791). Total songs: 117,425
# 392 in Rock General (highest position was 145). Total songs: 26,343 this is based on the number of plays each song receives.

More? Mailing lists, message boards, and on-tour schedules let you interact with other fans and the band itself. the sTOMperz message board let them know if you like their song.
